FNL

Description

This Dataset contains FNL operational ncep data obtained for 2005 from the NCAR site at

http://dss.ucar.edu/datasets/ds083.2/data

The Original data was then converted from Grib to Netcdf format using Ncep's NCL programing language using the command.

ncl_grib2nc

NCL is freely avaliable from http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/

Each data file contains global one degree data there are files for every six hours for every day in 2005. Each file name is of the form fnl_05{month}{day}_{hour}_00.nc
